Thoughts about going into consulting from audit?
Major scandal at PwC in Norway: A former associate, who was harassed and abused by colleagues with no reactions from management, has made a public webpage with all details as a last resort.
In Norwegian with an English summary, but I understood it all with Google translate.

Idk, I’d reject since you’d basically be moving back to staff. An 8% bump doesn’t makeup the years you put in to reach manager imo.
damn, audit manager to audit staff 😭
I’m sure there’s a lot of room to grow! Having FAANG on your resume speaks for itself. I do know that FAANG demote since it’s so competitive. Im honestly jealous though. MSFT is one of my dream company haha. I’m trying to work toward where you’re at! Best of luck to you! :)
I wouldn’t worry too much about the title if you expect to be back at a manager title within the year. Your resume will speak for itself with YOE and # of years in PA. An 8% bump isn’t great (I’d say a manager should expect to leave for more like a 20% bump). But if you’re excited about the company and the work and your new coworkers, etc, that has value too.
Doing the math, if it’s approx 8%, that’s like 8k more than you are currently making. For an Audit staff position? It doesn’t make sense to me. I think Microsoft had some Audit Manager position opened few months back and it requires 3+YOE of experience. Not sure if this was what you applied for ?
Please can I DM you to get more insight about this?
Usually FAANG only down levels one level...
