Anyone have a link for interview questions for someone interviewing at a mbb firm from big 4 advisory? If you don't have a link posting a question you think I should be prepared for is appreciated
Interviewed for a senior technical position at a startup (about 50 employees). During the interview the CEO spent about 20 minutes answering my questions. There was no discussion about my technical skills or experience. They emailed that they are working on an offer. Is the interview process a redflag? The only technical screening that happened was the HR lead's 10 minute phone call.
can’t stop thinking about if my goals made sense to them, if my interview made sense to them, if I’ll even get in. is that imposter syndrome?
People who have interviewed for experienced positions for consulting or industry. What's it like at a more junior/"senior associate/ level with low YOE. Like how do you usually prepare for the interview? I've only done on-campus hire interviews so it was just basic behavioral stuff.
So I’m waiting on an offer from one company but they’re taking their time. I’m also entering into or have finished final interviews with 2 other companies. I obviously don’t want to stop those interviews while waiting for an offer. Is it okay or normal to use those interviews to try and speed up the offer delivery? Or is that a no-no?
A company recently interviewed me. However the reviews goven by them to the receuiter are positive but they are mentioning that finalizing will take time as they are to decide between 2 candidates(me and someone else). I presently have a few offers on hold and am waiting for this company as it is quite good. What should I do? Have already told the recruiter this and he is trying her best to finalize. All i want is a yes or no or even a hint that its not going through. Advice please
Hello, I have been through two rounds of interviews at Deloitte UK and it seems like I will get an offer. I wanted to know what's the general salary range for a SC role at Deloitte UK. Joining as an Enterprise Architect with 13 years of IT experience. 5+ yrs relevant.
Hey there! I’m looking into a move from academia to industry. Higher education is a hot mess and my job has no formal growth opportunities. I am not paid competitively for my role or location. Plus, we just got our first raise in 8 years! It was about 2%. I feel like my passion is no longer serving me and the future I want to pursue. Tips for making the switch? I just had my final interview for an IFS research position at PwC.
Case interviews scare me. I know I’m in consulting but before the interview for my current role I had never done a practice case. When I was prepping I barely ate for 2 weeks because I was so stressed and nervous. I have case interviews coming up for positions I really want and I’m freaking out again. I like consulting but don’t know if I can do that all over again just to *maybe* get the job. Any words of encouragement or tips to get me through this and prepare thoroughly? Anything helps
I plan on seriously applying next year. However I want to throw in app for one or two schools just for fun round 2 this year. 330 GRE. Asian. Board of local nonprofit. Enough time for a worthwhile app?
Just had one of the best interviews I ever had & thought I was sure to get it, but I was informed they didn't chose me. I have to get a FT position for my teachers of tomorrow program, what do I do?
How formal should a cover letter be when applying for a job in a tech start-up? Surely not "Dear Sir / Madam"??
Currently on F1 OPT got my H1B approved in OCT 2020. Am I allowed to travel to India for two weeks in March. Scheduled a visa interview for the first week in March (Chennai Consulate). Will there be any problem while reentry due travel ban??
I have been seeing lot of LinkedIn posts of Googlers leaving after <2-3 years at Google On the other hand, there are those who have been trying for years to get into Google. So what are some reasons current Googlers leave after such a short time there?
Is there a bowl for resume development? I feel like my resume looks well put together and the interviews I’ve had all went super well but I can only get an interview with a referral
Interviewed for Deloitte Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got much higher offers for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but needed time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.
New manager, need to move all my financial accounts to be in PwC's brokerage simplification program. I'm interviewing a few recommended advisors this week... what should I be looking for? Qs to ask?
I was referred in Deloitte but I am not getting any interview invite. What might be wrong? I had given an interview more than 6months ago.
Delta has seriously messed up the handling of my luggage, over 48 hours with little update. Should I call the medallion line or the complaint line as the slayed baggage reps were no help?
What if you could convert miles into monthly utilization? What would be the exchange rate?
Ladies. If you have a Chase Freedom credit card how long did it take you to get it? I have applied for a couple weeks now and am still waiting...
When you flex trip, do you expense the uber from the airport to the hotel in your alt location?
I don’t mean to be vague but does anyone have experience or insights on if things are “better” as a black person working as a consultant or in house somewhere rather than in an agency? Any POV is helpful. For background I currently work at Ogilvy in a pretty junior role and I see NO ONE that looks like me. Peers or at the top aside from those in HR/diversity and in addition to dealing with the day to day reality of being a POC in corporate America, its hard to visualize a path to “the top”.
Anyone here from EY Tysons Corner (Assurance Service Line) want to tell me about the firm culture, is it a great learning environment, client base? I got an offer for Senior 1 but want to be sure I’m making the right decision to go Big 4 or jump down to mid-tier. SN: I started at a smaller National firm but left years ago for industry so I’ll be coming in somewhat starting from square 1 but at a senior 1 level.
Wow, LAX. 30 mins for an uber. Taxi line across the terminal. Guess I'll be hanging out here for a while... at least the weather is beautiful!
Looking for suggestions on what to include in the “calming area” for my middle school aged students. Also, what’s mindfulness look like in your classroom?
What is a good read/place to start with FIRE? I’m 28 and have 1k in my bank account and 110k in student debt. Making 65k but have had to spend most of my savings on medical issues recently :( I think that deluge of shit is going to end soon and I can go back to saving, but I don’t know what my next move should be. Any advice would be really appreciated.
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Ladies, I am up for promotion soon and have gotten extremely positive verbal feedback on my last project. However, the formal review that I received from the mgr deviated from the verbal review. Mgr claims that he wrote a glowing promotion review, which principal/partner team pushed back on. I don’t trust the mgr’s words because we’ve had some bad blood before and he is telling me to let him circle back w/leadership and for me to stay out of it. Any advice on next steps? Sad and frustrated.
Does anyone else feel being treated almost equivalent to slaves being on a work visa in USA? They can anytime deny your case even without reason and have you go back to your country....
