Guys I really need your advice. I accepted the offer from CTS on call for a different location. I will never relocate. Should I resign based on this offer. What's the probability I will get new offer in 3 months notice period. If on formal offer once generated by CTS on email, I deny will they consider me for my current location? Initially in all my email communication they denied my current location and I had no choice other than to accept the offer for a different location. Cognizant

Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

You’ve got to pull the bullets word for word from the job description into your resume. It’s the only way to get past the screening tools.
If you've done something once, you're an expert 😂
In second PwC1. You need to make sure your resume/cover letter include everything from the description. Of the many positions I applied to before joining consulting, I was referred but not hired twice, had actual human contact twice, and an offer once (which I ultimately turned down).
If you are prepared for the pay cut, it can be rewarding, but a whole different experience.
If you're in IT or know anything about IT, The IRS is looking to hire a ton of people. Apply even if you don't think you qualify. They're desperate.
Yea my plan is to move to govt too. Hopefully in the next couple of years. I only have 2 years relevant experience so far. I don’t have any certs but hope to have a couple like itil and PMP by then. Just doing those to up my chances for Fed job. Why do I want fed? I’m not cut out for the stress of consulting. I’ll take the pay cut to have a life
I’ll be honest. I was a “PSC” (essentially a fed without the benefits) and I loved it. I had so much passion for the mission and my colleagues were great.
Tried when I left active duty a few years ago. Didn't have the patience for the process. Takes too long.
KPMG1, it took the better part of a year to get an offer after getting through the screening process and interviews... when I said sorry, I started a new job (at PwC) they said “We understand; the process takes too long."
Why would you want to work for the government?
If you’ve got a clearance make sure to make to emphasize it. Cleared people are always in demand.
Check Indeed or another job website. They post Schedule C jobs there, which are direct hires for in demand positions. They aren’t GS jobs, but you’re still considered a federal employee.
@Manager2 - Financial Management, FIAR, Audit Readiness, MIC, etc.
What do you do?
Don’t listen to manager 1. Schedule C is for political and positions usually run out, ie you can’t convert to a merit based gs position.
