Sure, let’s split it into the two components, behavioural and case.
Behavioural first
- honestly just try be yourself and don’t try make your answers conform to what you think the interviewer wants to hear. Culture and fit are really important here
- Don’t underestimate the behavioural interview, put in time to prep for it
- It’s okay to take a second and formulate an answer, better than just shooting from the hip and losing the message
- Seriously. Be concise and don’t ramble
Case
- Frameworks are a rough guide, not a rule. Most cases will blend case types
- Structure is really important, think it through
- Listen to subtle guidance the interviews may give, we’re not out to catch you out, just see what you can do
- One silly math error won’t always kill your case, many silly errors will.
Final point.
- Do the prep for what is in your control and just do the best you can.
We’re really pleased you’re keen to join us and wishing you the best of luck!
Happy to help. Cases are usually based on prior engagements the interviewer has done, so it will almost always be industry specific.
However, casing is a process not a general knowledge test. All cases have a logical solution set provided you break any situation down into its core issues and follow that logical line to its conclusion. Just make sure you ask the clarifying questions to help you find what those core issues are and you’re good to go
Thanks again K1 will focus on case prep then.
I’m preparing for the final round with Kearney. DM if you’d like to practice some cases
Thanks so much K1. I'll keep this in mind. Just a follow up:
