I know many that skipped the crawling stage completely and did just fine. If she’s ready to walk, let her walk
My son never crawled. Your pediatrician sounds wackadoo.
My husband (as a baby lol) never crawled, just basically went straight to walking. No issues. Think this is fairly common and nothing to worry about. Let her do her thing!

Just came here to say there is no convincing a baby or toddler! There is some sort negotiation with toddler which often fail but other than they rule and you follow. Sorry, I know I am not helping you with the answer you seek but my brain is fried currently after a haggle match with my 16 mo and remote!
Umm according to the AAP, it seems like some kids just skip it

From what she said, it's not that it's specifically necessary that she crawls, it's just too early for her to walk because her hips aren't ready for that kind of weight bearing.
So I guess the question is more "how do I stop my very determined baby from walking"
Like I can only knock her over so many times before it stars to feel mean.

Need to get each side of the body working independently rather than baby’s brain thinking that both sides fire at once - bicycles on the back, shifting weight from one side to the other while supported standing, etc.
If you can afford it, a well-recommended pediatric PT could be a great idea!
She's got that part down - give her the tiniest bit of support and she starts walking forward
Ok this is all making me feel a lot less stressed about needing to manage her movement. Thanks everyone.
let your little scientist figure out their body in their own way, in their own time. both my kids took different paths (one skipped crawling and cruised for months before walking, one crawled and didn’t pull up to stand until 11mo but was full on walking just after pulling up). they both now walk and crawl the same. if you want to raise problem solvers, strategists, scientists, creators…let your kids discover the world and, hard as it is, get out of their way while they do it! :)

Agree don’t worry about it. Take to a PT if you want specific guidance

I never crawled or even rolled over as a baby. Went straight to walk at 8 months don’t see I am any different from my siblings , cousins etc

She has a highlight on this
My aunt was 6 months old when she started walking and it didn't cause any issues for her. She's 50 now.
