I switched to fruit when I got those cravings and then over time the cravings dropped off. I also stopped buying it so it wasnt in the house to be tempting...
Do a sugar detox & Get your nutrition right. You won’t have cravings and you’ll be able to taste sweet in many things without added sugar.
Try switching your routine if u know the sweet cravings hit right after dinner. I’m in the same situation but with rice. I come home from work and just crave it, I started taking shower as soon as I got home to disrupt that pattern. which helped me a lot!
I would like to suggest something from my personal experience. I stopped consuming sugar in my diet instead I have jaggery cubes whenever I crave for sweet . And it's being two months since I moved towards this tragic change and it gave me very good results.

Non fat, plain Greek yogurt with protein powder is a good dessert option with just enough sweetness. Or just brush your teeth. That always helps me.
Great advice thanks all!!
I am just like you ! One thing that helped me was switching to more natural sweets like those made with natural fruits and and vegetables ( they are good ) and cutting down on portions so like a handful and weening myself off of it little by little
