The diffusers were also very helpful with my heightened sense of smell because some of my coworkers had terrible breath that I was now very aware of, even when not right next to them. And of course the heightened sense of smell plus nausea equals a bad time. So instead of having that awkward convo, I just discreetly used the handheld diffuser. If anyone asked, I said it was for headaches. (I did also have a roll on thing for headaches form 21 Drops.)

These tips have been vastly more helpful than I expected! I might try a little coffee but I’m still a bit nauseous. When we return to the office I am definitely getting that diffuser!

Advice requested: When you were a legal intern or a summer, what type of projects did you like best? What was most helpful to you when you received a new assignment? Anything you wish your mentor did/didn’t do? I’m working with my first ever intern and trying to structure projects so they know that the work is important and relevant to the business, and why, and to provide enough background info on the area of law so they don’t spin wheels on the basics. What else should I be doing?

I wish I was curvy. If I gain weight, they just all go to my face and I look like Jigglypuff, if I try to get toned, I get bulky (while some ladies can pull it off, I can’t). I just have to accept that I’ll always be this flabby shapeless person 😔

Currently I work for a mid-sized InsureTech that’s had 2 rounds of layoffs in the past 6 months. Salary is 100k, with no defined bonus. I have close to 4 years of PO experience. I am debating whether I want to leave since my boss is very chill and I have amazing WLB. Benefits are eh. 15 PTO days and healthcare premiums are okay. Should I jump ship? What could I be making at a bigger company? What types of companies are most stable right now?

Someone please tell me where in tf I need to drop my Hinge location in the DMV area to find my person. I’m in Baltimore and am getting frustrated/losing hope after only finding guys whose time would’ve been better spent focusing on themselves to be emotionally available and ready to date rather than dating as a distraction. I’m convinced I’m going to die alone. And if you have a single guy friend in that area who is a genuinely good person, please let me know 😂

The problem is that this isn’t what I want, or at least what I think I want. (Continued in comments).

Just needing a safe place to vent. We were extra vigilant about the holidays with our two kids under the age of 5 requiring everyone to test and be vaccinated and keeping our gathering extremely small. Nope…not enough. We are now quarantined because my kids can’t be vaccinated and are too young to wear masks. Thankfully my husband and I can rotate parental obligations so we can work, but I’m exhausted and it’s year end so extra busy.

For the married and/engaged ladies, did you have any pre-wedding jitters? I recently got engaged (yay!) and I have felt for a very long time that my partner truly is my soulmate. I don’t have any reservations or hang ups about marrying him, but the sole idea of a lifetime physically makes me anxious. I feel guilty having these feelings when I couldn’t be more certain about the decision to marry him. Can anyone else relate?

I hung out this weekend with a work friend of mine. We’re both junior, but I’ve been on FMLA due to an unexpected illness so have been away for a bit. I know that I screwed up on some files before I was diagnosed which I feel awful about and have been trying to rectify (unpaid), but she spent a lot of time cataloguing the ways in which I messed up. It was supposed to be a nice weekend for once and I’m feeling more beat down than ever 😕 just not sure how to get the motivation/nerve to go back!
