After IJ grants asylum. What’s the next step for applicant to obtain documents to prove status?

Thinking about a move to Charlotte but my husband wants to spend some time there first. Anyone know of a rental for a month or so this winter? (Or want to home swap to spend some time in Colorado this winter)

I’m thinking about leaving my government job for a matrimonial law firm. I had a baby in January & my husband’s job was hit particularly hard by the pandemic (100% commission based & I was already earning more than him). I am enticed by the compensation & have been unhappy with certain aspects of my govt job lately. But I’m also nervous about billables & firm life (I was a matrimonial lawyer 5+ years ago). Mostly I want to provide for my baby girl & not be stressed financially. Advice? Thoughts?

I have 401(k)s from previous employer, which I left as 401(k) instead of converting to an IRA so that I could backdoor Roth without complications.

Should I consolidate my previous 401(k)s into the same administrator if I like their investment options, or is there a benefit to having separate accounts for flexibility if I never need to withdraw “substantially equal periodic payments”?

I have about $70K total in undergrad/law debt. I accepted a job in big law starting in fall of 2022. I’d like to be debt free as soon as possible but given that student loan interest is frozen and has the potential to continue to be for the foreseeable future, any recommendations on where I put my money in the mean time? I’m thinking I’ll make the minimum payments upon graduation and let my money grow elsewhere until loan interest starts up again then make lump sum payments. Thoughts?

Anybody had experience helping spouse or close friend get over the mental block of investing, due to their growing up poor/having to support their parents and thus being unnecessarily conservative with money? Caveat that they work in finance/investment so they understand fully that historically stock markets have done ~10% return on an annualized basis. But their excuse is since they work in investment, they’ve seen too many trades/funds blowing up etc.
