I would look at levels.fyi from there see what data you have and what you can use to ask for a higher salary. If they talk to you over the phone, let them speak first with the number they give you. Once they give it you can say from my research and expectations I was looking to more in the x to y range. Never give a number and always give a range. If you have connections who are hiring for a similar role don’t be afraid to ask. Last the compensation bowl is great def ask there! Good luck!!!

Ask your friends and colleagues what they make (this is where i find my data as official benchmarks are hard to come by sometimes). Obvi only where you feel ok comfortable. But you can also help them by letting them know what you make. People are often more willing to share than you think :)
