Join alumni or other affinity groups in your area and go to events. Also I respond to every recruiter that emails me even if I'm not interested. I'll provide quick intro, explain what I'm interested in and invite them to reach out with future opportunities. They seem appreciative and I get a lot of follow ups.

I constantly feel like I'm not contributing but am paid fairly well and am more fortunate than others. On the other hand, I have no clue what I'm doing and feel like I'm just going through the motions.
