Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.
Hi! Any career coaches who offer a full support throughout job search? -Experience: 8 years of project/program management and communication -Companies of interest: Google, Microsoft, Facebook -Location: Washington DC or VA
How easy is it to move from a tax client service internship into a fulltime advisory role upon graduation?
Currently in Sales Ops, previously a BDR at smaller company. 2 YOE. I'm thinking about switching over to consulting. I want to go back to client facing but at a strategic level without focusing too much on selling. Any advice? Referrals? I'm within healthcare.
Hi Fishes , Any program/project managers here ? What do you think is the future of technical program management in India ? Is it for mba grads who are comfortable with technology Or should only pure techies get into it ?
How many people are suddenly managing an intern they didn’t ask for because project leadership requested one without any idea or scope of what they’d actually do? 🙋🏼♀️
Moms, I need advice. I’m one month in at D (previous consultant, spent last 5 years in industry as a leader of leaders) and came in at Mgr - and I *hate* it. I’m 13 weeks with our first and mat leave was a huge factor in coming to D, so feeling trapped. I spend more time dealing w/ asshole client SM (not my project SM) than doing work. My coach is great, but her advice was basically, “D is full of assholes 🤷🏻♀️, get used to it.” Is it too soon to leave? Especially pregnant? What to tell recruiters?
Ideas for client gifts this year? Typically has been a nice bottle of wine, but only to the clients I had previously shared drinks with so I knew they were wine drinkers.
My ~60 person group at my firm has only 5 women in it. Is there any excuse at all for this? Every project I’m on feels like the old boys club
Anyone else ever feel like a completely inadequate consultant? I'm struggling with performance quality on this project because I just feel dumb and it demotivates me to really strive to improve. Possibly also impacted by burnout because I performed well on other engagements and enjoyed my teams more. Just not sure where to go from here to get where I need to be.
In-house newbie here. I’ve been put in charge of drafting up a corporate policy that creates a process for employees to object to working with a client for ethical reasons. We are a vendor in the SaaS space. What legal claims should be included here? Religious, political.... anyone in HR know of a good resource to point me to specifically for this topic?
Alright - for the ladies who found other jobs while on mat leave: when did you give notice - on your first day back? And was that essentially your last day at the firm, or did you stick around for a few days to wrap things up? (The new gig doesn’t start for a few months, so that I can be childcare.) I suspect my firm won’t want to pay me for two weeks to just stick around without a project, correct? Thanks in advance for any anecdotes or helpful tips.
I started working in a agency two months ago, and I have two very big projects running simultaneously. My Creative Director left for paternity leave, and left me with all the work, facing the client, going to shootings, editing. I've been working 15 days straight, no weekends. The agency hasn't given me any back up/someone I can team up with to do the job. Is this normal? I'm used to have a partner, a copywriter or another creative working alongside. Keep in mind that I'm mid-level.

Trouble networking virtually; I started recently, 3 months ago. I am not sure how projects/internal moves work but I was wondering if anyone has advice on networking virtually? I am finding it tricky because I don't know anyone apart from my team & I can't view Talent Marketplace because I am on a billable project, not sure how long it will go. I enjoy my work and not looking to move just yet, I wanted to see what else is out there and looking for opportunities to network with more people.
I know this is a story that repeats in this bowl but I’ve finally reached my end with this industry. While the pay is great, I’ve grown to dread work. I understand that client side isn’t utopia but where else does a “seasoned” ad person end up?
Show me an account person who says they properly push back on the client and I will show you a liar.
I’m about to turn down an in house position at a client (I actively applied for the position). Any tips on specific language I should include in my email rejecting it? I don’t actually work with the client on any matters - it’s just a firm client so not sure if this even matters?
OTS - EY - Manager salary? Chicago
Done with Marriott. I’m moving to Hyatt 💯💯
Can I jump firms without interviewing in this market? S3 with 3 years FDD experience... not really interested in more than 1 conversation to get to to know the team. To me it's not worth the stress to go through a full interview process but if I received a competitive offer quickly, then I would seriously consider switching.
On Monday, we'll have like an hour to go into our classrooms to get anything we need to start making lessons for distance learning. what do i need?
Anyone transfer from Canada to the US? Making $105k CAD as an SC at D and Deloitte US is offering me $145k USD SC. On paper, it’s the same role (Salesforce) but has anyone transferred to provide insight on WLB, culture, etc?
Guidehouse 🐠, what’s the salary range for a Senior Associate with the Business & IT Strategy group? Also, is a Senior Associate equal to a Deloitte SC?
Was offered an analyst position at VillageMD . Can anyone give me some insight about the culture, pace of work, etc?
Hey everyone! I have passed L1 and L2 interviews in Birlasoft, have HR interview tomorrow. Profile - python AWS developer Work exp - 2.5 years, Wipro Limited How much hike should I expect/ask for?
Is there a prestige gap between the big 4 and ACN that is big enough to be worth taking a detour to the big four before exiting consulting? Depending on your perspective you might not see acn as less prestigious than say ey/pwc/kpmg but curious what people think the general perception is. (Not talking about strategy& or Parthenon)
Has anyone ever requested a weekend interview for a PE or credit fund shop? Are people amenable to that?
Have any US 🐠 gone abroad for their MBA? Looking at LBS / HEC. Pros, cons? Not looking to exit into MBB, FAANG.
We can discuss about Apigee, Q&A, doubts and its job openings here. All folks from Apigee tech stack are welcome.
Are there any real differences between the Big 4 in FDD or all the same? I know for audit they’re basically all the same
Why won’t AA let me book business class flights with points if they’re available to buy cash? (Qatar flight on AA site)
Being recruited at Deloitte, currently a Strategy Manager with high pay, equivalent role at D, is it possible to get 250K+ im base and 100K+ in signing bonus? and whatever the perf bonus is?
HR keeps trying to paper me up with speed to output crap because they think I’m sick, but the reality is that I’m terminal and probably won’t be around to see the end of this. God I hope they don’t pretend to put up a caring memorial when I’m gone.
