Hi Fishers, I want to pivot my career into management consultant. I am currently working as a Market research analyst with 1 YOE. Can someone please suggest me how or where should I start to build my career in management consulting at Big 4.
Also, please suggest entry level jobs that I will be eligible for with skills in Strategy, primary and secondary research, and competitor analysis.
Thanks in advance!

Problem is sometimes I cry from pent up emotion without meaning to. How do I stop that from happening?
In addition to the above advice, do some sort of physical activity to release the pent up emotions. I recently returned to kick boxing and it has helped tremendously in dealing with stress and frustration.
If you force yourself to smile it also changes the brain chemistry. But if you are clearly upset you might end up looking like a psycho. So sneak a smile while the person you are talking to is looking away.

The same thing happens to me. I’ve found that writing down everything I want to say in an organized, fact-based fashion puts some distance between my emotions and the issue(s). Also, writing it all beforehand let’s you feel what you need to feel in your own safe space.
I cry it out at home, the night before-you cry enough, there’s just anger left. Lol, it sounds sick but it works
Breathe. As in deeply. It actually changes your brain chemistry instantly. And instead of interpreting everything personally, ask yourself why you are having the reaction in the first place. Understand that whenever you have a strong reaction to anything, it is always a trigger for something deeper than the immediate situation. It’s an opportunity to grow personally. Over time the urge to cry at inconvenient times will lessen because you will not be reacting to the trigger in the same way.

Breathe and trust that your skin will get thicker over time. If you feel like it’s uncontrollable, try talking with a therapist to vent some of the pent up emotion.
Deep breath into your belly a few times when you start to feel it coming.
Say you need a minute or ask if you can schedule to discuss this at another time.
I make up calls "I'm so sorry Partner, I promised I would call Client with an update in 5 minutes, but I will come see you right after so we can finish this conversation. I appreciate the feedback." Having a rehearsed line keeps me from spinning out and gives me time to process/prepare.
