Any tips for writing a 30/60/90 plan? Executive level. I have language that I am pretty set with but wanted to get some ideas on some things that I can maybe mention that are a bit out of the box/different

I'm wondering if this is accepted practice. My firm has a computer monitoring system that takes pictures of what you're working on every 5 seconds. The firm's HR/office manager then uses this to determine if you're working while you're in the office. Ex) I have outlook opened on my computer, but I'm inactive on my computer b/c I'm reading a paper file. This individual will walk into my office to see why I'm not 'working'. Getting pretty fed up.

I started a new job back in October and after a few weeks in, I came to find out the job was a lot different than what I thought it was gonna be. I like the company as a whole, but my position is not for me and is causing a lot of stress and anxiety. There aren’t any other positions at the company open that would fit my background so I am unsure what to do?

I also want to note that this job is in a different time zone so I have been working 11-8PM which adds to my stress with late nights.

I fought all week last week for raises for a few employees who are amazing, important and underpaid. One of these people is actually a team lead. They are training others who are coming in and earning $4k more a year than she currently earns and she’s been with our company for about 2 years!!! I find this extremely unfair. The owners of the company believe these employees should speak up if they want a raise. I think it’s our responsibility to pay our employees fairly. Please leave suggestions🙏

I'm an experienced HRBP who's looking for some career advancement advice. I'm currently studying for my SPHR and looking to take the leap to HR Director roles. While I'm a strong HRBP, I've yet to manage a team. And while I train managers on people leadership skills, I myself, haven't had a chance to flex those muscles. Those in HR leadership, should I apply for HR Director roles even though I haven't managed a team?

I had an offer from a startup as a tech recruiter. They mentioned in my offer I will be eligible for bonuses and will be organized by the CEO in the first 3 months. I get my actual contract and there is no mention of a bonus structure. I asked them about it and they said it has to be developed with the hr manager, who will be on-boarded to the team in two weeks.

What is the SHRM and is it even worth it to get?

Hello, what benefits do you think are most beneficial to employees excluding pay, health and education.

I have 3.5 years of experience in HR and bachelors degree in a semi-related field. I’m really wanting to pursue HR certifications this year (I have none). Does anyone have recommendations? I heard the PHR exam is intense and has “outdated” HR material - aka potentially not worth it.

Curious as to others' threshold on when you require a doctors note to verify someone is indeed unable to (remotely) work for an extended period of time due to illness. Where do you draw the line?

Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies.
