Just give your thoughts any time there’s a pause in conversation. Nobody likes dead air, so fill it.
Take damn good notes.

Just don’t talk at all but bill every second. Literally the best thing about being a junior

This is the way
You mean on internal calls, I assume? It’s a valid question because that’s tricky as a junior. Even as a mid-level, if I’m on a call with partners, I’ll stay silent if I’m only there to take note of action items. But you’ll want to read the room. If the tone is conversational and on equal footing, show your interest in being part of the team by asking questions, like either substantive or about what you can do to pitch in. You’ll know when you’re ready to contribute ideas. No need to do that before you feel ready.
TAKE GOOD NOTES.
I also want to add: on internal calls, laugh at jokes please. Like, I know I’m not that funny ok? And our partner is DEFINITELY not that funny. But if we crack a dumb joke, courtesy laugh. Like, just do it. and actually I’m hilarious.
