Cervello: Data Engineer: 13.5 LPA fixed With work life balance and job security which is a good deal to go for. Is it possible that it’s their passive aggressive partner/senior associate which may be causing this behavior? I’m a third year and any time I am actually annoyingly pushy is because i am being pushed by the partner to nudge the team (and totally not voluntary).
I’m too unimportant to know. Very little visibility on that front but it’s possible. I haven’t seen other team members above them act like this though. Another mid-level occasionally dishes out jerky behavior but seniors are surprisingly civil
Management is an art. It takes a lot of time and experience to do right. I would discuss with HR.
I think this is a good approach. I think a call could be a good idea - you can say you’re pushing towards completion as soon as possible and gently suggest that the constant checkins are slowing progress. Also, maybe if they vent a little they won’t be on top of you as much?
When they follow up again X minutes later, just tell them that you’re slightly further than when they asked X minutes ago.
That’s kind of passive aggressive in my book. I don’t want to rock the boat any more. I’m looking to dissuade the situation and hopefully solve it for the future.
