Any tips on how to get into the crypto/NFT/VR spaces as a non-techie? I am a Jane of all trades with a marketing and HR startup background. I’m super excited and passionate about this emerging and disruptive tech and I’d love some more insight on how I can get involved with one of these tech companies. Thanks!

I would start watching videos on YouTube. There are so many different layers of this tech and it'll make your head spin trying to figure it all out. Pick a niche and learn about all the big players in that space. Crypto/NFT lives on Twitter and discord. Those are two great places to start as well.

Married to a crazy rich girlfriend and it's the worst experience of my life. She can afford anything, flying first class everywhere, wears all branded stuff and she doesnt have to work for life. I am working very hard to provide for family and I am still not able to add any value to her life and she's been distancing herself. We havent had any meaningful interaction in the past 1 year too, been sleeping separately, no touch/kiss/sex or anything like that. We might be divorcing soon...

So just had my first Amazon interview interaction the other day and its BS. I got invited to take part in the interview process by first answering a bunch of situational/case study like problems and then had to complete this long work style assessment after which they requested a call/interview only to find out the comp for the role is way below my target. Why would you make people waste so much time on your stupid assessments before asking expected salary range?!

We had a discussion and she gave me a lot of good feedback on how I could be a stronger candidate and encouraged me to reach out to her directly for future opportunities. Fast forward to now, I’ve gained a lot of experience and skills. Should I reach out even though it’s been 3 years?

How would you approach moving back into industry after a long career break?

A successful senior software engineering career (15 years+), I took a significant amount of time out due to burnout and caring responsibilities.

Seven years on, my situation has improved, and the industry has progressed. Remote first companies are numerous, and I’m keen to move back into software development.

I would love to hear a recruiter's perspective on this situation.
