Highlights of the year: flew out on 12hr notice to evac E Europe-based employees & families, plugged 3 exposures before they became breaches, built TVM/privacy program from scratch, onboarded new CNAPP.

I work with HR/Recruitment at an aquistion company. Most of our subsidiaries are small accounting firms, and we struggle with turnover/recruitment of certified public accountants. Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. Client X is paying us to work with Team Y. Manager Z on Team Y keeps calling me (analyst) the other analyst's name or anything else. It's been 6 months of almost daily check-ins with this person and I've tried everything from starting the meetings with "Hi, [John Doe] here" to turning camera on. I am new to consulting. The work/project is fine, but I feel pretty out of place socially. I have trouble keeping up with conversation, I am slow to even understand what is going on around me and I feel I can’t “banter” - a lot of my inputs to conversations are “that’s great!” or “wow!” and share a bit of my perspective. But it feels like it brings the pace of the conversation down. Are there any “reps” I can do to get better at this style of conversation?
