I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Hi Fishers, I have accepted Walmart offer and my BGV has started 3 weeks ago. How do I check my BGV status? I will be joining in mid May. Also, I have been hiding one of the company where I had worked for 45 days and then absconded due to personal issues. Would it create any trouble? They had created my PF account though. Any help would be highly appreciated

I have a question, fellow bowlaz! I work in a small advertising agency in Oslo, Norway, and we struggle to get in contact with international ad media such as Adweek (Ad Freak) and Ad Age whenever we want to show off our creative work. Does anyone of you have a way in, or tips on how we can get in contact with media outlets like these? Cheers

Generally, no. And honestly even if you could get hired at SM, it’s really, really hard to jump in and run.
Exception is if you are brought in by a partner who can sell and needs a deputy. They’ll funnel you what you need if you execute on their behalf.

This is def an option!

Can I ask why you want to be a SM at big 4? There are some good delivery SMs - none make partner though from my experience
It exists at Deloitte. USDC has “Senior Solution Mangers” and PDM has Lead Project Delivery Manager. Both are essentially a “delivery SM”. I’m actually aware that they can make MD but not P (someone correct me if I’m wrong)

No. At that level you need to be bringing in dollars
They do hire if you are from Industry and you are bringing in specific area of expertise say like GRC implementation to the table. You’ll likely have ramp up time etc. If you don’t want to do the sales then look for internal SM (Associate Director) roles. Pay is a little less compared to client facing SM but it’s a trade off. I am an SM5 now and on the partner track, but I just decided that I don’t want to be selling constantly for the rest of my career, so evaluating my options now.

Without consulting experience and experience selling/growing business, I'd be very surprised if you could come in as an SM. If you did, it would be a hard walk uphill. You'd need to be managing multiple engagements, owning and managing large deals, and building your network with the firm all at once.
