Hi Sharks,
I had first round of CITI interview this week and today I got a mail asking for documents submission. Does that mean this had only one round and I have cleared that? Generally documents are asked only when we clear all the rounds. Who has given CITI interview please let me know. Thanks..Citi
Hi Fishes,
I have joined a company few days back.
I am getting opportunity to apply at two very good companies.
But for both companies process will take 2-3 weeks.
So what shall I tell HR why am applying when I have already joined a company?
Also if I am getting offer then can I get relieved in a month ? (Nothing is mentioned on offer letter for notice period during probation period, otherwise it is 3 months)

Is the MBB Sponsored MBA worth it?
Hi I’m going to be working full-time at an MBB soon and have been thinking about pursuing an MBA in ~3 years. If I can continue receiving promotions, is the opportunity cost worth it? Is it better to leave MBB after those 2-3 into an industry role? Also, is it too ambitious to say I want to earn $1MM/YR? Would exiting to industry be a faster way to do it than consulting? Thanks

I would say bridging the gap is just a matter of making someone like you. I’ve gotten several referrals through only talking to people once. Find a common interest, be personable/witty/relaxed/polite, ask them deeper questions beyond just their job function (e.g., If you could give one piece of advice to yourself at the start of your career, what would it be? or How has [company] helped you so far in reaching your long term goals?). Read How to Win Friends and Influence People. If you can present yourself as a competent, bright, clean-cut, personable person, people will automatically like you and want to help you out. At the end of the informational interview, ask something like “Do you know what the process typically is for hiring [X] role?” and they’ll likely offer to refer you.
It's kind of like being a salesman, you need to be subtle enough to not alienate people but stealthy enough to get what you need as well. It's about building real relationships with people so that you feel comfortable asking them questions or inquiring about opportunities. And a lot of the time it takes much more than just one meeting.
Have you tried volunteering at any company? Anyone will want some high-quality free work. I suggest doing it for yourself, and things will start coming together.
