If I’m craving for snacks, the last thing I’m going to want to eat is pre cooked chicken. Don’t leave chips and chocolate at home and change into your pjs immediately after 10 and hope your laziness will prevail over your craving
Don't buy chips. Or snack on carrots. Only have carrots around to snack on. You'll stop real quick 😂
Snacking isn't ideal but if you're going to snack then get something like cold cuts or pre cooked grilled chicken strips that is healthy and lean in protein. I always get that stuff at the grocery store. You can also drinks a casein protein shake which I find fills me up quite well and quells the snacking cravings
Brush your teeth right after dinner lol
A1: Yup, you get it. It's totally behavioral for me; not because I am hungry.
OP: I don't stock any "bad" snacks. Fruit, nuts, or dried meat (jerky). Getting regular, restful sleep also helps a lot... workload doesn't help, of course.
Sip BCAAs
Brush your teeth or focus on drinking water after dinner. Could also be what you are eating for dinner, might need to focus on more filling and satiating Foods
Don't have them at home
Chug water and chew gum
Carbs raise your blood sugar and will drop after digestion making you feel hungry - focus on nutrient dense foods: proteins and healthy fats will keep your fuller longer
Water, water, water
I eat a filling, nutrient dense dinner fairly late. I’m still pretty full when I lay down to sleep.
Snacks are not really about hunger or feeling full though. I think you guys are missing the cause of the urge. It's something to do, it's quick gratification, quick energy, addictive flavors... I don't always snack based on hunger. Sometimes it's habit and boredom. Which is why I no longer allow snacks in my home, lol
Nuts add up quick 😩 the struggle is real. But I say only keep most snacks that are very watery like fruit and veggies, because it will fill you up. For any crunch/salt craving, I tend to go veggie chips/crisps. For chocolate, go straight to 70% or more dark chocolate. Not too many calories, and surprisingly little added sugar.
Homemade popcorn 🍿.
