After searching for jobs, got offered another consulting role in a different state. It’s a much higher pay, but really unsure whether I should move and take the pay when it’s something I’m not sure I even want to do. Would you take the job and then start searching for another job? Or keep the one you have and just keeping grinding in the search?

What is your opinion on the consulting world?

I feel as if they are simply saying that they need professionals only to either deny you or pay you below average pay. I can apply to roles that I come close to, meet, or exceeded and I get no response, auto rejection, or do an interview or two just to say they found a better fit. Better fit meaning cheap labor or they just want to say “we can’t find good candidates “.

Say you join a Series A/B scale-up in a CEO minus 1 role , e.g. COO or Chief of Staff. The scale-up can’t raise the next round and just closes.
What’s next? What are the options?

At MBB right now and contemplating these roles vs. big corporates.

What’s the interview process for senior associate at Amgen like? Also pay range in California ? Amgen

Hey Ladies— wondering if anyone can offer some advice. So I interviewed for a role last month but didn’t get the offer. The recruiter said she got so much positive feedback however they just went with some who had a little more experience. I’ve come across a similar role on the company website that was posted 4 days ago. The role fits my experience in terms of years. Do you all think it’s reasonable to reach out to the recruiter again to see if I can interview for that role? Or is that too pushy

What's the most people (or number of rounds) you've ever gone through with your interviews? I just went through 15 people for a director-level role. I'm ready to hibernate!

I’ve been helping out a manager on a SOX controls implementation project since late May/early June (just us two). The project is scheduled to run until end of August, but the EM has known from the start that I need to roll off by EOW for the audit I work on every year. However, there is currently no one to take over my role on the project. My time for next week is non-negotiable on my other project, with no flexibility to keep assisting with this. What should I do?
