Ouidad curl products have been great for me! I have very big curly hair.
Rising Star
I love Ouidad too! I get lots of compliments on my curls!
Get a silk pillowcase. I have loose waves/curls that never hold shape and are prone to frizziness. It has really helped minimize frizziness even without product.
I use sulfate free shampoos, always moisturize or condition, and a silk/satin pillowcase. I really like coconut oil, argan oil, and products by Shea moisture.
I use the Unite curl moisture cream mixed with a little Argan oil. Then I comb a very small amount of the unite defining cream around the curls that frame my face and the ends. I know this prob sounds like an ad for Unite but this is seriously the only system that makes my hair look polished
I wash my hair at night and sleep with it in a braid or braids and it usually dries a little calmer and gives it more defined waves.
This.
Manes by Mel videos on YouTube were life changing for me. Definitely get an denman brush. It gives you the prettiest curls.
I second the silk pillow case. Deep condition regularly. Figure out your moisture/protein balance and what your hair needs. It kinda sucks along the way but just experiment with products until you find something that works for you. Get ideas for product combos from Instagram. I’ve heard the Olaplex line of products is great for all hair types but I have not tried it myself. Also, I have to strongly recommend against devacurl. Thousands have come out with stories of hair loss, damage, altered curl patterns, etc. I believe there was a class action lawsuit at one point but no clue how it resolved. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

Keratin treatment also ag fast food leave in conditioner is a game changer. Also many curly haired friends swear by the devacurl products

You need gloppy products. Try Suave mousse in the pink can or aveda curl creme. I have gross frizz unless I tame it!
I only wash maybe 2 times a week and condition any other time I wet my hair. I comb with a wide tooth comb in the shower. I use the Moroccan oil curl cream when it’s wet and to tame frizz if I am just pulling it back and not washing. Helps a lot. I use gel on my roots and mousse on my ends and hair spray. I tend to touch my hair a lot and that makes it way more frizzy so I try not to do that.
Try the Curly Girl method. I use a modified version for my waves (I use shampoo with sulfates, don’t use product, and sleep with it loose: sue me), but it makes the curls more defined and less frizzy. Also, if you can’t be bothered, hair stick buns are my go-to. A metal hair stick won’t snap under the weight of your hair and it looks neat from the front.
