Talk to them about their goals and help them to understand how to achieve them. Provide tips and tricks for consulting youve learned. Help bridge their skill gap and be tactfully honest. They'll probably accelerate faster than you, but if you present yourself as an open resource to be "used" they'll remember.

Also, learn from them. Get to know then as people over some meals and drinks. No matter what anyone else says, you are 100% managing them on this opportunity, but be humble about it and transparent. They need this opportunity to shine and so do you. Growth opportunity for y'all, lean in. It's a bullet point for EOY and promotion readiness for you.
Are you sure you’re “managing them” and not, like, “showing them where the bathroom is?”
It doesn’t make sense analyst is mentoring someone who will come in at a senior consultant/manager level.
My title needs to be updated, but I'm actually in a Lead / Jr Manager role. I'm acting as a project lead for a couple of strategic initiatives which they will be involved in to support as MBA interns.
They may have more YOE than you, but maybe not in consulting or the work you do. Don't underestimate your experience. There's a reason why you are in that position and not them
Yeah so you’re not managing them. You guys are working on an internal initiative together (which you’re leading)
Exactly! Even on a project there’s a difference between who you’re staffed to (manager) and day to day contacts
