One of those days when your client keeps wanting and demanding more and more than what they are currently paying, and all of your seniors are out on vacation so you have to bear all the brunt of the client's frustration for your team for the rest of the evening 😔
I am going to join Harman connected service in next month for mercedes benz client. Can you share me the information about the mercedes and HCS . How is the work there . Is it challenging. The Hr told project is on IOT devices data engineer. Can you share thoughts.
Is anybody using Microsoft Planner for project management? Seems like it can be beneficial since we are on Microsoft for most things.
Hi my IBM sharks 👋🏻
Has anyone being on bench received automated mails from RoBoT_System@xxx.mail.ibm.com and been told something like this-
"This is in continuation of the multiple e-mails on the subject, right since you were 45 days away from your last assignment closure date. We expect that you understand your personal responsibility to get assigned to a relevant project within IBM, and also expect that you take steps to achieve the same"
Is this something to be worried about?
My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?
How is WLB at Tech Mahindra SBI Belapur client (on site), Can anyone help me with feedback?
Hi all - please set me straight. Am I on par with comp?
AdTech Sales - Account Executive. No experience in Sales, but was in client services with my company for 10 years.
Base 142 with 100% match, so 284 OTE. Accelerators after 100, which doubles up to 125. (101 to goal will garner 102 in commission, 105 will 110, caps out at 125 so max is 150% commission)
Q1 is looking good already so feel good about things. But curious if this is a good deal.
Position: Associate Analyst

I have been offered Lead Software Developer G140 in IQVIA. How many years of experience needed for that role? How were the hikes in IQVIA for BI Tool projects last year/ this year? were there any firing in Pandemic?
And how is the flexibility in terms of changing technology/project. Current project work does not seem to be much challenging so can I ask for project change within a few months of joining if I find the work mundane?
Are cover letters these days needed or even looked at for any non-creative advertising/marketing roles like client-side, media buying/strategy/planning, consulting etc?
"Data Scientist", Azure shop, 5y experience. Been stuck doing python dev/client team augmentation for the last 18 months (several clients).
So demotivated+disillusioned, does anyone in consulting actually do DS projects? - this is the same reason I left my last role, 6 months of interesting work and then endless dev work. Predictive models are dangled just out of reach to stop us quitting.
No longer feel qualified to apply for actual DS roles outside because I've not done any ML in so long.
I joined capgemini 15 days back still I did not get any project. Shall I obscand or resign any suggestions please
I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .
I have 9.5 years total experience and role is Storage Architect.
The best day of my previous company. When one of my colleague was in a client call. The client asked "Can I escalate this? "
My friend said -" No"

Compiling a list of questions, would love any and all questions!
Pence is SO GOOD. I’ve never been this impressed. Kamala seems a bit lost tbh. And she’s smirking too much on serious topics.
Tips and tricks for making the move from Technical Business Analyst to Solutions Architect? From my experience there seems to be a lot of overlap with my role and theirs at FIS, yet all of the Job specs be comparison seem to be a worlds away. Does anybody moonlight doing legal work on the side? I know there are serious ethical risks associated with this - curious to see people’s side hustles.
Leave or stay?
I'm a class of 2019 corporate/ecvc associate at a NY based EC/VC boutique. Just had my annual review: next year I'll be paid $175k/yr, with $10k bonus for hitting 1,600 hrs. 10% bonus on originated fees. Hours are definitely less than biglaw and the partners are nice to work with, but can't stop thinking about how I'd make almost double (albeit pretax) at a biglaw. Or should I just be happy that the tech downturn didn't bite my ass?
I know this question is somewhat vague and broad but I’ll soon be joining a Banking & Finance team (in BigLaw) as a junior associate. I’d be grateful for any tips on how to thrive in this role. What characteristics make a good junior transactional lawyer?
I'm thinking about taking a Staff Attorney position with the Second Circuit. What are the thoughts about this? I know it might be less prestigious than a clerkship but is it still good for a young litgator or should I stay at my firm?
Hi there, starting new in private practice. My job requires billable hours. Anyone know where I can find a list of terms and descriptions I can use when I am billing clients? TIA
Thoughts on Debevoise for litigation?
Did anyone transfer to NYC within their firm from another office? Are firms easily agreeable to do that? Does it matter if you are very junior?
Thoughts on the cultural workplace or work allocation differences between London and New York big law?

Hi everyone, Im taking the Cali Bar in July and I’m looking for an accountability partner in NYC. If anyone is taking any bar and would like to have moral support and friendly accountability in the prep process while tackling BL, let me know! Thanks!
Looking to move to Manhattan early 2022 and taking building suggestions or recommendations! Would like a luxury rental in mid/high-rise (doorman, laundry in building, modern facilities), preferably located near midtown/ Hell’s Kitchen and within 10 minutes from a subway station. Will also consider other areas if commute to midtown <20mins via subway. Not looking to lease from private owners. Budget is less than $3800 monthly (but prefer $2600-3200) for studio or 1B. TIA!
If comparing firms to lateral into, how do you all actually evaluate the firms? So other than asking people you know at other firms, whats the process. Right now im just searching chambers and looking at for the firm ppp, but fear im missing out on other critical details. How can you really evaluate the M&A group of Skadden to Simpson for example.
I seem to keep working with senior associates that ask me to do every little thing (draft two sentence replies to emails, make minor changes to docs that would take 2 seconds, etc.) I’m mid-level and I get there is a difference in billing rates. But it’s getting to the point where I’m having to drop what I’m doing every 30 minutes. Is this normal?
Skadden friends — potential lateral and heard that the tech/software is way worse than other peer firms (e.g., takes a century to run a redline and that you have to use Citrix at all times and not just when remotely logging in). Kinda surprised to hear it tbh. What’s the deal with being so behind the curve / is it really that bad? Can you guys use iPads for markups and to connect to your DMS, etc.?
If you had the opportunity to leave nyc doing exactly the same thing with the same pay as you do now in Miami would you do it?
Has anybody successfully leveraged a job offer into better conditions at the incumbent firm? I.e. office transfers or better case opportunities - not compensation. Or do people get offers and take them as a matter of course?
