Is anybody using Microsoft Planner for project management? Seems like it can be beneficial since we are on Microsoft for most things.

My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?

I have been offered Lead Software Developer G140 in IQVIA. How many years of experience needed for that role? How were the hikes in IQVIA for BI Tool projects last year/ this year? were there any firing in Pandemic?
And how is the flexibility in terms of changing technology/project. Current project work does not seem to be much challenging so can I ask for project change within a few months of joining if I find the work mundane?

I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .
I have 9.5 years total experience and role is Storage Architect.

I'm a class of 2019 corporate/ecvc associate at a NY based EC/VC boutique. Just had my annual review: next year I'll be paid $175k/yr, with $10k bonus for hitting 1,600 hrs. 10% bonus on originated fees. Hours are definitely less than biglaw and the partners are nice to work with, but can't stop thinking about how I'd make almost double (albeit pretax) at a biglaw. Or should I just be happy that the tech downturn didn't bite my ass?

Any advice if you are slow coming back from maternity leave?

Looking to move to Manhattan early 2022 and taking building suggestions or recommendations! Would like a luxury rental in mid/high-rise (doorman, laundry in building, modern facilities), preferably located near midtown/ Hell’s Kitchen and within 10 minutes from a subway station. Will also consider other areas if commute to midtown <20mins via subway. Not looking to lease from private owners. Budget is less than $3800 monthly (but prefer $2600-3200) for studio or 1B. TIA!

I seem to keep working with senior associates that ask me to do every little thing (draft two sentence replies to emails, make minor changes to docs that would take 2 seconds, etc.) I’m mid-level and I get there is a difference in billing rates. But it’s getting to the point where I’m having to drop what I’m doing every 30 minutes. Is this normal?

If you had the opportunity to leave nyc doing exactly the same thing with the same pay as you do now in Miami would you do it?
