When you have a manager so bad, you and everyone under them quit, and HR questions the team about “leadership culture”, but they still get promoted to SM -_-
Any 🐠 works for LEGO? Saw a job post and would really appreciate it if anyone will be open to share the culture/experience!
Anyone here is at Amazon IT Support Associates II ? What is the work culture like? What do you think about paying 60k/year ? How does this level works at Amazon?
What are you passionate about? Any tips on how to reflect on that? I feel like I’m spiraling into an identity crisis trying to think of my “story.” My work experience isn’t in any particular industry, and my personal life feels standard to millennials - food, travel, outdoor activities, art/culture
Do your executives and ownership teams care about culture? Do they care about innovating? My top executive is very “stuck in their ways” and refuses to accept that he is creating disconnects with his team.
Sooo which agency is the beat in Detroit? Culture/work/life balance/creativity/fulfillment as metrics.
How interesting it is that the language ‘English’ restricted us to think what we can possibly think/experience/learn. I feel like because this language is so limited in words to understand our culture, it restricted several generations to learn beyond what we know today about our country and culture. I feel cheated 😭😞
Why is there such a culture of overwork in some industries (consulting, finance, and law come to mind) but not others? What’s the differentiating factor?
Anyone from Accenture SAP practise especially in Supply chain? Need to get some idea about culture and work quality. I'd appreciate if anyone can reply here
Asking this question here for a reason. In our culture and set up, a majority of the time is spent in cooking. We usually don’t eat microwave meals. I want to understand how Indian families cope up with all the traveling associates with consulting. Does the mother or father usually stay at home or be in a “light” job?
Anyone has experience with Verizon Enterprise Solutions? Trying to understand the work culture, long term opportunities etc.
I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.
What is LinkedIn’s rep regarding pay, WLB, and culture? How much does Microsoft culture bleed into it?
Does anyone know anything about Alpha FMC. Curious to hear the culture, projects, and opportunities?
This is such a basic question, but what’s the best way to give my two weeks and not have things be completely awkward at work? I’m leaving to do the same type of work, but at a firm that I worked for in law school and that I know has a much better culture. My boss has a tendency to be passive aggressive towards people that are leaving and given that my office is right next to hers I’m worried my last two weeks are going to be so uncomfortable. Suggestions/advice?
Hi, my friend is studying MPH (NYU). Worked for 5 yrs. in healthcare domain with McKinsey & 3 yrs with healthcare NGO. Any leads for her summer internship?
Beginner and trying to get my finances in order. Income: $200k+. Maxed out 401k for the year. I have $60k in my savings account (just paid student debt off this year). I’ve searched the bowl… Are next steps: (a) invest (maybe $30k?) in ETFs and add to it each month, (b) open a HYS at HMBradley to hopefully get a high interest next quarter? I’m not convinced about the mega back door Roth (whether it makes sense for my situation) so putting in only a small amount there. Any thoughts? TIA!
Just took my uber driver to the wrong airport! Lga instead of jfk. Can i make it through security at jfk in 30 with pre check!!!
Starting a new role soon where I’ll be managing a team for the first time in my career. What are some examples or traits that good leaders have displayed in your past? I want to develop into a healthy, supportive boss but unfortunately have only experienced toxic bosses so my resources on how to do this are limited.
Feeling burnt out, like I’m not doing great work, in need of a major life change, and that I’m just in survival mode until the Holiday break. Meanwhile I feel guilt of having a stable remote job unlike so many others around the country. Someone tell me that I’m not alone
What’s is the Executive Producer salary in Chicago these days? Is Freelance a better option still?
Recently i got an offer from HCL tech. The scheduled only one round of interview and then HR discussion happened and offered me around 45% from current package. My question is usually for experienced candidates there will be atleast 2 rounds of interview right? So after joining will they put me in bench and i will have to attend interviews there? Pls pour your views
I think I’m burnt out from my current company. I’ve been completely unmotivated in my professional and personal life. I feel a bit discouraged because I don’t think I want to be an HR BP anymore, but my background is extensive in the HRBP role. I would love to enter into the DEI space and have tried to get involved in extra DEI related activities to help as I apply for roles in this space, but would be open to any pointers if anyone has any on how to pivot my career?
Thoughts on starting a mileage run bowl? I’m traveling considerably less this year for work but don’t want to lose EP on American..
Where are the office Halloween zoom pics???
I’m looking for a job change, not instantly but in the near future, particularly in FANNG. I’m looking for a senior management position but coding is not my strongest asset. Does anyone have any advice? I want to study and prepare for the role and not just randomly keep applying..
Philosophical question (not trying to be political, just a genuine question I’ve been grappling with): do you think being pro-choice and pro-vax mandate are logically inconsistent? Both are sincere views of mine, but upon further reflection I haven’t been able to think of a way one position could be completely defended without undermining the other. Goes the other way for pro life/against vax mandates as well. The fact is, they just feel different to me, but I’m not sure why. Thoughts?
If I pass the hiring committee, what happens if my expected salary and bonus greatly exceed the posted “floor” salary? I tried to get in front of this, but recruiting department has been slow to talk shop while I progressed through interview milestones.
Has anyone lived on one salary (third year associate market pay) in NY or DC for a family of four (wife and two young kids)?

Anyone at RSM or any other midsized firm know what the average pay for Senior Transaction services is? I would also assume the hours are a bit better than big 4 FDD? Looking to decide between industry or give another few years to public accounting. Also for the Chicago area or any MCOL area
401K Question - Very Confused. Just came to US and will be here for about 4 Years. Firm matches 25% of first 6% employee down. Some say, upon withdrawal, have to 40% tax/penalty / others say .. Contin
