Hello! Excited to be here!
Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company been working here one year and received pretty positive feedback. Given the expectation for people of my tenure to transition to EM in a year or so, I can’t see myself staying due to the WLB as an EM. I’m 35 and have 2 young kids. Can it even be realistically done? Would love to stay but I don’t see a balance which would keep my family happy. What options do I have from there?

KPMG I’m confused on your referral process. Had a friend refer me before I made an account, made an account, applied to two jobs and got rejected (that’s fine). But if I want to apply to a third job, will it still be under her referral or do I need a new referral? (She said she can’t refer me again for 12 months) I’m not even sure if I applied correctly under her referral. The first two jobs I applied for were through talent community as I normally would without a referral. Help, I’m so lost :(

Think of everyone as peers, no matter how senior (obviously treat them and present professionally) but I found once I stopped letting titles and what not get in my head and thought of everyone as just people it made it a lot easier. Now if your struggle is just presenting in front of groups of people in general then I can’t help you
I do this as well
Deep slow breathing for 1min, optionally closing your eyes to focus on breathing. Extend for as long as needed, but that 1min should make you feel markedly calmer
I only fall asleep if I'm relaxed, so... validated? :)
Obviously don't do this to the point you fall asleep haha.
Two routes I use depending on my mood:
1. Float on the placid lake: drink water, take deep breaths, stretch the hammies, put on LCD Soundsystem, and think thoughts of how smooth this will go.
2. Ride the rapids: grab a black eye (coffee with two extra shots of espresso), chug it, drink some water. Do a few jumping jacks. Say to self, “I’m the f*cking man!” And go crush it, fueled by the nervous caffeinated energy.
Drink a bang energy drink
Sometimes caffeine makes it worse for me and I drink coffee regularly. I generally find an empty room, put some chill music on and take deep breaths. If not, I look at memes and generally relax by having a nice laugh at something

Walk the room if you can before the presentation. Get comfortable with the space. Also keep the message flashing with your inner eye about the tone of the message you’re trying to convey (motivate, inspire, somber, etc). Literally shake it out like you are about to run a race (think Phelps shaking his arms before a race). Remember to connect with your eyes to each person In the the room like you are having a personal conversation with them, and most importantly, breathe.

Practice the presentation multiple times. Think about questions that may be asked or comments that may be made and how you will respond to those. Preparation makes it comfortable.
