I am interviewing with Amazon next week for a HR Contact Center Associate - ERC DLS Support role. I have never interviewed with/worked for Amazon so I've been searching for info here, binging YouTube guides, & googling everything. My brain is numb. LPs, loops, bar raisers...so much jargon.
I need a little encouragement & maybe some insight. Does anyone have experience with this role & the interview process? Is it as intimidating as it seems? Any tips you wish you'd known?
Thank you! 🌸
This morning I was called by a recruiter about Infra Tech Lead role. He was looking for 15yrs of experience, and the salary is capped at 95K 🙄 for WIPRO.
Are these folks high 🙄🤦🏾♀️
Is NYC currently hiring ICE General attorneys? I applied in January and haven’t seen any updates since the referral to the local hiring manager.
Hey guys. New Quality Assurance Engineer who completed a boot camp training. I’m looking to get hired after switching careers from healthcare field. Anyone hiring masters students in marketing and PR? Seems like a lot of agencies are postponing and cancelling their graduate development programs programs. I am currently getting my MS at Fordham.
Non-tech consultant with a strategy background, and I got approached by recruiter for a role at Accenture.
How much pure-play management and strategy consulting do they do? Or is it in the context of addressing a client’s technology problems? Is tech consulting work the long tail of any strategy and management consulting services?
I work in sales as a coordinator and do a bunch of paperwork with customers online. I LOVE PEOPLE but dread going to work everyday (wfh 3x a week) because the environment is toxic. I just found out that the only positive manager on my team is leaving. I am spiraling. I have a BS in Health Science (no chemistry classes taken and minimal biology education). Where are people happy in their careers? What careers are best for young women with ADHD? Who’s hiring?
Ive accepted an offer going from a SM role to M role at EY in the CCas team , London office. Can anyone confirm how often one needs to come into the office, as my commute is from Hampshire . In my current role I rarely go to the office, i.e once every few months (also in London) and am considering backing out due to the additional commuting cost and less flexible work life balance.
I’m trying to finance my trip to Japan so if anyone would like a referral to Crowe, send me a DM and let’s get that money.
Why are UK salaries so low?? Just got off a call with a uk based web3 startup for a BD associate role and they only offered 22-24k pounds….like what? That’s less than 30k usd a year. I know it was an entry level position but I feel here in the USA it’d be at least 60-70k min and prob more considering it’s web3.

So i have been with a company for 5 months and i feel like most BA’s are making more than i do . As a very new b and introvert when they called to offer i accepted the first offer without counter . I definitely enjoy working with this company, my question is when should one ask to raise the pay? Because the annual 3 percent raise isn’t good enough for market rate.
Twice now I have been ghosted by hiring managers after my initial HR screen. It’s really got me feeling like shit.

Additional Posts in Small Law / Solos
For solo and small law firm owners, I am curious, if you care to share anonymously, when you opened your firm and what kind of revenue you are running this year? I want to just get an idea of what is average or common.
I'm glad that partner track came out so big law attorneys finally have some media figure to look up to. I was tired of hogging it with better call Saul
Going to be going solo soon and wondering how do you keep track of your time? Any suggestions for docketing timers or apps?
With all of the scamming going on, how are ppl sending payment instructions for settlement checks?
I am a first-year attorney in a 3 person firm (I’m the third). My bosses put me on the PD appointment list to ensure I have work but I absolutely dread court appearances and litigation. I wanted to be a transactional Atty. Over the last 2 weeks I’ve been living in a constant state of panic and (embarrassingly) cry in the bathroom at least once a day due to stress. I’m getting a therapist but am seriously considering leaving the firm with no backup. What do I do?
I want to hire a contract attorney to assist in my family law practice area. Do you have experience with hiring contract attorneys? How did that work out? How did you pay them?
Has anyone ever attended TLU Live? I am considering going this year and was wondering if it was worth the expense.
Small firm here. Any recommendations for the best ways for an employee to keep time or “clock in/clock out”? We’re currently using an excel sheet— is there a more sufficient way?
I’m close to making partner, but need to add about $150k ish to my book to really push me over the hump. I have a strong book already but feel for some reason my momentum has stalled over the last 6 months or so. What do you all do that you find really helps build your book, in addition to networking?
I am in my first year of practice and am working at a small firm with three partners. They have me starting off doing family law but none of them have practiced family law. I find myself really struggling to figure things out blindly and have to go to the partners frequently for insight. How much question-asking is too much question-asking?
How do you deal with bad Google reviews? In my case, it's an angry beneficiary, not even my client.
Finishing up my first year of big law, thinking of starting my own practice while I work at my current position. Thinking that in a few months, I’ll concretely work solely for my own practice full-time. How difficult is it to gain clients (mainly PI and civil lit)? My mentor also offered me to be an off counsel while I’m working at my current job so that I can refer cases for a cut, would there be an ethical issue? FYI my firm does unrelated law to PI and doesn’t forbid doing extra work.
I’m an associate attorney at a mid-size family law practice. (5 attorneys, 3 support staff). I’ve been here for 3 years and just asked for a raise to $130k from $90k. My annual billable target is 1400. However, since I’ve been here I’ve barely broken 1000 despite working my ass off. I bill out at $375. They told me no more raises unless I start taking my own cases. Now they just hired a new associate and are paying him $170k and he takes his own cases. Am I being unreasonable asking for $130k?
I am starting my own firm next month. I am very excited and I know it will be a struggle, but this is my time and I will do whatever it takes to succeed. (Questions in comments)
I started my firm recently (immigration) and am a true solo. I have experience in a few very specific case types and do lots of research, but don't have enough experience to easily strategize for each consult. I know this will come in time as I do more types of cases and have a background of knowledge to pull from, but I need to grow my business too. I think hiring a very capable paralegal would be the best option, but I'm paying myself 1k a week. I doubt I'd be able to pay an employee. Ideas?
I have a general practice but I want to develop a niche and focus on that. Has anyone made that transition? Any advice on identifying, training, and shifting to that?
Livid. Helped a friend with a small claims suit against a tow company that failed to provide them with all of the documentation/information as explicitly required by the vehicle code. And this violation explicitly allows statutory damages. Judge disregarded the law. Said that my friends weren’t really harmed by the tow company not giving that info. Disregarded statutory damages. Completely denied all claims. Insane. I’ve lost even more faith in our judicial system. Southern California by the way
I am 38 and recently relocated to Charlotte, NC. Been practicing for 2 years with my own firm in CA and was hoping to join a firm in the estate planning/real estate space to get more familiar with the marketplace out here. Seems like firms in that space want someone with much more experience (3-5 years) or are not hiring. When would it be time to throw in the towel and start my own practice out here? Was hoping to join a firm where I could make a community out here but prospects look bleak.
