I would leave NYC personally if you can to pursue FIRE
So I’m also in BAP/TAP in NYC, Staff 2. I pay $1400/month for rent and utilities, and honestly it’s not that great. You will not feel like you are meeting your savings goals with $2k/ month living costs. I’m moving soon and hoping to lower to $1.2k, and I know I that I will be making ~95k as a Senior 1 in Oct (if COVID doesn’t impact raise). My suggestion is get a roommate and pay no more than 1.3k/mo

Dont expect any raises in October other than your promo raise which is around 7.5%. Our group was way over our target rev, but our practice leader said we may not get any raises. They are still discussing.
The trick at your experience level will be to keep expenses down. Live in an uncool but decent neighborhood in Queens or Jersey. Things will really pick up for you if you can then avoid the urge to upgrade to the West Village, etc as you start making more money.
Live w/roommates. See if you can find a place where you walk to work or is cheap and/or you get a rent stab lease
You qualify for HDFC housing in New York with your current income (I think the income limit is <87k or so). You could buy a 2BR for around $260k (seems like you have enough for a DP) and rent the other room for almost the cost of your mortgage.
That's easy on that income, if you're young and single. I did it on $60k and with student loans. I did not pay more than $900 rent on that income. Just saw a great room in Carroll Gardens for that price.
You're 23 and making 75k but still living home?

Queens (eg sunnyside, forest hills) or brooklyn. Much more reasonable rent.
