What's the best project you've ever worked on -- and why?

Recently, our client has decided to retract their job offer to a newly hired candidate who is currently rendering his notice period and is already on his last day with his current employer. This is because they have changes internally that have affected the new hiring. I really feel frustrated, guilty, and awful for the candidate. Does anyone else constantly get mistaken for a nurse? I get it, I'm 5'4 and Black and work in pediatrics, but the assumption and casual racism is kind of ridiculous when the actual nurse has just told you that the doctor's coming and then I walk in the door. A bit of a vent- I love being a producer, and producing certainly involves a certain level of expected stress, but it’s so hard being at the end of the agency process. It feels like so much is asked of us and we are so frequently set up to fail (time, money, or communication-wise), no matter how proactive we are in trying to mitigate these things. I feel these pressures and other departments’ understanding of production are getting worse with time.

Any good headhunters for production?

Thinking of going freelance in a few months because I have gone 3 years without a raise and my work-life balance is awful. I’m not in a big ad agency market, so there are only a small number of places I could go to if I decide freelance is not for me and want to go back to agency life.
