Any tools you use to draw architecture diagrams digitally ? Given the remote work, I wanted to get back to whiteboarding digitally to facilitate discussions. It’s cumbersome to use the mouse for drawings.

I use a digital pen pad or draw.io. I've also used DEX on my S5e tablet with an external monitor as a sketch pad device.

It's much easier than Visio for sketching, but not as powerful.

The only drawback to a Wacom is that it doesn't always want to cooperate or give you a point of reference for where you're drawing to do detail work.

What are some of the issues you’ve experienced when working from home? I feel like sometimes it’s harder getting support from other teams because no one likes to respond to emails/IM’s. I also feel I have more down time compared to my last job because my boss either doesn’t message me with any projects to work on or doesn’t message me back due to being busy. It’s not a daily thing luckily, but it happens a lot to the point where I don’t know what to do 😂 curious who else has similar WFH issues

After 18 years, I lost my art room to a classroom this year in order to spread out kids due to Covit19. They said we can’t hand out papers.. kinda thinking art is remote for all. I will do lessons on google classroom with live lesson to classrooms and home. I was told special area teachers may be “repurposed”. We will be used like a TA. One class will be spread out two rooms.Aday teacher in one room, I help in other room. B day teachers switch 😳😷☹️.. I know I’m lucky to have a job but.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get into project work or contract work? I’m hoping to leave public by January and need a break from corporate America for awhile. I want to stay remote and not be committed to 40 hours a week.

I used to do staffing. Involved cold calling And spamming clients and emails. People treated recruiters as middlemen, a noise and felt disrespectful.

But it’s not easy profession - to specialize and win in a niche.

I know it could be automated and give an experience to candidates and clients by making it ondemand, instant and specialization. I saw a Vision to turn this recruiting business into ondemand staffing companies like Airbnb - just publish talent and do the transaction.
