Start looking at at integrated marketing and brand manager roles — the roles are different between B2B and B2C (even there across industries like CPG, pharma, DTC). I honestly think the future is in-housing — and the data shows. A quick LinkedIn search will show an increasing number of brand side jobs in the UK — but also look at US tech companies, they often look at setting up new offices in UK&I as logical growth markets given the English language.
It’s too expensive to hire agencies for hefty retainers when you can build out an internal agency of people that aren’t nickel and diming, have access to the same DSPs, and have immediate access to everyone in the organization.
