Need a hug! Afraid of losing my job because I have Covid again!!! I had to go back to work after being away 8 years caring for my mother with dementia. I am an only child and my husband had a good job. He just left me after being together since we were 17. Took all the money and ran. I can’t afford a decent divorce attorney. His mummy is paying for his. Trying to afford a retainer and I get sick in my first 30 days of work!!! Unpaid!!! Plus having to do my own divorce case in all my spare time 🤦🏻‍♀️

Seeing your guys posts have me really sad.. So I started at Rite aid 3 years ago at start of Covid when I lost my job (factory) closed with no experience or training.. I’m now MI state licensed, not nationally certified. I fought with the union to get raises in our district and they did give us pay raises on the first of the 2022 year. so making 13.50 with a 25 cent pay raise a year.. I love my job and coworkers and my pharmacist.. but seeing these pay rates y’all have I’m very disappointed.

So, I started watching “Limitless” with Chris Hemsworth. Apparently, he found out he carries both genes for dementia which puts him at a higher risk. So the series is about him changing things in his life for longevity. The third episode is about fasting and he fasts for 4 days until the day he has to hunt for his food. Does anyone in healthcare have thoughts on this type of fasting? I know it is done in some cultures and religions, but to what extent?

On a plane with my kids for the long weekend. Although I don’t want to go back to the multiple cities per week schedule I had before Covid, I can’t believe how energizing it is to travel today. Airport was a mess, the lines were crazy, the food was mediocre - but the people watching was great and the energy was invigorating. I have missed this.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I was hired by a company that is paying me a ridiculous amount of money to do my job, but they lied to me, they lied to all of the new hires. This isn’t underwriting, this is a call center. We aren’t even allowed to answer coverage questions when the agents call. The call volume is INSANE - like 70+ calls a day. There’s no actual underwriting happening, and I don’t know what to do. The money is great, but the job is a joke. I’ve been here for 2 months and I want out. Advice?

My parents are retired, in the US for 25 years, and unfortunately don’t have too many friends. I’m 29 and moved back into their house 2 years ago after my divorce.
