I earned a scholarship and worked through college, didn't receive more than a few thousand dollars from my parent during college and grad school. Sibling loses scholarship due to too much partying, so parent pays most expenses and tuition so sibling can continue to party and not get a job. Sibling almost fails out of grad school, but barely lands a job. Parent is now buying sibling new car.
