Desi Consultants!! - who all are thinking of hiring Sima Taparia (after watching Indian matchmaking on Netflix) for finding your future significant other?
Question for EY moms - my husband and I are thinking about starting a family soon, so I was looking up the parental leave policy to see what my options are. I know some firms have clawback clauses that require you to come back to work for a specific period of time or else you have to pay back the salary you received while on leave, but I couldn’t find anything similar in the EY policy. Does this mean EY doesn’t have a clawback clause for parental leave, or is it just hidden away somewhere? TIA!
I really need help from everyone here: I am a tax senior, and I have offer from both EY and MNP. I was at Deloitte earlier and I am not sure which to pick. Same package/benefits. While EY is a great firm and the partners are amazing and all experiences of Big4 and it's resources, MNP has this charm of a Canadian firm and great culture. I don't know much but people say MNP is a great organization. The people I will work with are all amazing to speak during interview. What to do now?
Is it possible to take some time off for mental health- ( maybe short term disability) after coming back from maternity leave. Joined back 8 months ago?
I work at a “big” law firm for my market (mountain west). 2020 was my first full year here. Do most firms gives their associates raises and end of year? I came from a really small firm and have only been practicing for 2 full years so i don’t know much else. I’m not expecting a raise because frankly, i didn’t hit the billable requirement and I’d say I’m an average associate at this point. Just curious as to what it typical. (At least we have a solid bonus structure).

People who came to the US on L1B, and successfully switched jobs (assuming visa switch from L1B to H1B), could you please share your experience or provide any useful tips? Feeling stagnant and trapped at my current job partly due to visa restrictions and ofcourse the pandemic situation. Looking to jump ship but not even sure if it's possible on an L1B.
Graduated from law school with an in-house offer. Was laid off before bar results. Took a paralegal job with promise of promotion once licensed. Never happened. Took another paralegal job (con’t)
I recently got an RFE for my H1 transfer. Can someone pls share what is typically requested from you experience? And possibility of it getting approved. Thanks in advance!
I’m thinking about not taking an offer that I had with a different firm and instead going to industry. Would it be possible for me to add the people I interviewed with on LinkedIn? I actually got along with the team, and am going into an area where they sell, and could be a potential client. Would like to join the firm if I have the chance in the future and keep bridges open.
