I'm on my notice period and got an offer from a company which is the role I'm looking for. However, they've given only 1 day to respond to the offer. This company is 2nd on my priority list and I got this from a personal connect.

I’m a third-year litigation associate with a boutique firm, looking to lateral to a larger firm in the new year. My grades were average, probably top 40%, and I was on Law Review, but I can’t imagine my transcript stacks up well to other candidates I’m competing against. In my second year of practice, I was formally diagnosed with ADD and began taking medication, which works wonders. Long story short, if GPA comes up in interviews, is this worth mentioning? Potential red flag?

Anyone ever wish they had a job where taking a vacation wasn’t just as stressful as not taking one?

Every time I get weekend work last minute or late night emails to do research that night (which happened more times this week than it did not) I always convince myself, “ok, that’s not that bad. It won’t take too long to do.” Anyone else go through this mental exercise to keep sane 🙃

I’m almost a second year attorney in family law. I have made brief appearances in hearings, but nothing really major. I am an outgoing person and have no problem working out issues and speaking to the partner and senior associates. However, I have so much anxiety about court, particularly long arguments. I am extremely nervous and feel like I’m going to freeze. I do believe I’m capable, but I feel like I have a long way to go. Any tips? I’m doing great in all other areas more or less.

Former and current first-year associates and law clerks: How long after starting were you able to take a vacation? And how much vacation time were you given?

I feel like I’m the only one in my office that really understands what’s going on. I live downtown in a major city and saw the extreme violence out my window. My office got vandalized and nobody in my office really seemed to understand.
