Working Mom and business owner. My husband stays at home with our son. He is a consultant who does occasional part time work whenever he wants to. I'm not convinced we can have it all, so we just accept the fact that we will give up certain things like travel, large home, high end suits and sometimes I pay myself less than my employees to make payroll. Before your child turns 18, there are 936 weeks....on you can determine how well you use that time. We want to maximize our time with him and then sort everything else out later. It works for us. I hope you are able to figure it out.

Enough for an au pair, I think - and don’t really have a house big enough to make that work comfortably yet. Husband also works but ~$80K comp, pretty busy as well though good flexibility.

I guess my question is whether I should chase a salary increase to a level of comp to upgrade the house and nanny situation or if I should just bow out for a less demanding role with less travel. Wanted to hear how others thought through this.

I’d recommend asking in the mothers or women bowl.

I really don’t think there’s a chance that the SCOTUS overturns Roe. I would hope this affirming decision further slams the door on states trying to legislate what happens in a doctor’s office between a pregnant woman and her doctor. There’s always a chance this swings the other way, but this SCOTUS so far has a non partisan approach, regardless of what the media has portrayed. The panic seems unwarranted.

Resume submitted with app: Major GPA or Cumulative GPA? Context: My major GPA (aka final two years of business school courses) is 3.57 however my cumulative GPA is 3.20. Am I obligated to list both or is only listing my major GPA satisfactory? The reality is that I started undergrad at 17 and was an immature kid who goofed off his first couple of years prior to pulling it together when I started taking my major courses so I want to make sure that is clear. Note: I also have a 720 GMAT.

With all my flights planned on United through the end of year, I'll be only one PQF away from requalifying for United Gold Status. Is it worth an extra $89 and a few hours of my time to reroute myself to BOS on my way to LGA, just so l get the extra PQF to reach Gold? If I don't, I'll be at Silver next year, but idk what material differences are b/t Gold and Silver besides upgrades at 24h instead of 48h. Worth it?

I need recommendations for nice maternity work pants. My office is WFH but I occasionally need to go in. I’m 16 weeks (first pregnancy) and today realized in a panic when I attempted to get dressed that my work pants are either too tight in the waist to wear or getting there. I’m tall (5’10”) and usually wear Theory, Rag and Bone or J. Crew work pants. Any suggestions for nice black maternity pants that I could pair with a blouse or blazer? Thx!!

I’m entry level (2020 grad). Used to work at an awesome startup before my current job in SaaS. I’ve been ramping at this co. though so I haven’t even gotten the experience yet I want on my resume. But I talked with the startup co-founder about rejoining. I was thinking part time to start, but he says there’s a high chance of a full time job for me there. Startup is 100% remote. My job at current company is client meetings and deliverables. How difficult would it be to work both at once?
