My s/o is a nurse but hates the job coz of the floor she's assigned to. There is no ability to move floors around at the moment. She's been wanting to get her Nurse Practitioner degree from for the past 3yrs, I've encouraged and pushed her to apply every couple months. Now I gave up on asking her to do that, coz she says yes everytime and never gets it done. Yet complains about hating the job.

All, I’m trying to figure out if I’m being underpaid. I’ve been at my company for close to 11 years! I don’t like coming off as greedy. I manage all the internal recruiting (they currently have me filling 30-40 jobs by myself), I also do all the training for new employees and current employees, I manage all of our software and tools that the team uses, I also am I’m charge of quality to ensure the team is following our company’s processes, I also do IT support. I’m currently at $100k. Thoughts?

Lot of fear in the market right now (understandably so). The situation in Ukraine is awful and the potential consequences are scary to think about.
There are some who want to sell in fear of their investments falling further. Do not do this. Hold and continue to buy more. Continue your 401k contributions, and add whatever you can afford after every paycheck into your brokerage. Those who sold the covid crash were often late buying back in.
This is the dip you're worried about.
Whenever I hear debates from the radical left and conservative right on gun control, it's always about Chicago being a war zone. It's crazy how far removed I am from it all in the suburbs. Kind of makes me feel a bit bad like I'm not really contributing to a better Chicago

For those who entered consulting out of undergrad, then progressed to manager-level in their firm: Was doing a firm-sponsored MBA “worth it”/did you regret foregoing a sponsored MBA?

I’ve been dating a guy for 3 years and we are living together. He is accountable, funny and supporting and treats me well. He takes our relationship seriously. But there are some things that I can’t get over. While we can have fun together, I’ve been feeling that we don’t connect on a deeper level. A lot of times, we care about different things and aren’t in sync with each other on a lot of topics, which pulled triggers to a lot of our fights...
Is there typically a unanimous decision when determine if a candidate gets an offer? Or is it majority? It’s unique based on the company, but wondering what the norm is if any.
I was told today that I was added to the partner track and they expect in the next 2-3 years for me to make partner. 🤩 I’m just really proud of myself for working so hard and finally seeing the payoff. I know I still have a lot to do to make it reality but it’s nice to know it’s being recognized. If anyone has any tips for the next two years, I’m all ears!
I was invited to the Prime Global Women’s Leadership Conference in Chicago this summer. This will be my first professional conference. Has anyone attended before? Obviously the dress code will be professional, but curious if people tend to wear suits or dresses, and either way should I prepare to bring a blazer?
How long is too long to know someone and to ghost/slow fade? I've been seeing someone casually for 6 months and we were friendly/friends before that for another 6 months. Feel like he's fading this past week but part of me also thinks he would be better than that and give me a proper conversation. Any experience or thoughts?

I guess this doesn't go for woman in accounting specifically, but some advice is needed and I think this might be the best group. I've been with my live in BF for 2 years-and I love him. But, I think I might be gay. I've never been that into sex with men and I thought that was just normal but after more self reflection I've realized I've always looked at women differently than my friends and that I have romantic feelings for them. But what if I'm wrong? And I throw away an amazing person?

Anyone made the switch from a traditional path to being a professional career coach? While I do enjoy the tax compliance part of my work, I think my real strength and passion is in the people: mentoring, motivating, helping people to think about and set a plan to achieve their goals. Does career coaching seem like a good fit? Any advice on where to start?
Hello, I’m very new to this platform. I’m actively looking for any accounting (payroll included) fully remote positions. I have two plus years of experience as well as have my Associate’s degree in Accounting. Once I get settled in, I want to continue to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in the same field.
