I did for a bit. I was newly married and we did a bad project for an asshole client and travelled all over the place. But the next project I did was super interesting and the team was excellent and we did great work. There are always ebbs and flows but in my experience whether you are doing a good job and enjoying it is a lot about whether you are surrounded by the right people. Maybe try and find them within ACN, and if you can’t, try and find them somewhere else?

It’s not just you. Even my mother and ex wife don’t know or care what I do. They just know I get paid, travel, and I’m not selling drugs. And when people ask I’m like “ come on I’m a consultant, you really expect me to answer that question?”

I started reading math textbooks (real abstract stuff) on the side, as well as playing around with some AI/ML. Has brought me more joy than Ive felt in 5 years.
A job is a job. Good to be happy about what you do but it’s not everything. Personal life matters more. I’ve realized that too more recently
My client is the government so yeah, felt that way on day 0.
