Yes, the day never ends because people assume there is nothing else you could be doing.
VC is gone, pray for a decent raise at this point. Back in ‘08/‘09, a 2-3.5% raise in a non promotion year was a win.
It’s worse knowing that we’re working more and VC will be lower (if any) this year

Yes, however blocking breaks into my calendar and sticking to them has helped. While I’m more inclined to log on earlier, I’ll bang out a few things before going for a run @ 9am. I’ll also block 5-6pm for yoga and worked in some video calls just to BS with friends or coworkers.
Yes, but most of my time is spent on check ins and non chargeable work. Our managing tax partner doesn't understand why we're not charging as much and isn't lowering expectations.
