Anybody else posting vacation pictures?

Just got dumped after 6 months. We had a serious connection so I thought, said we loved each other, talked about future, looked like I was everything he said he wanted. But he thought I was out of his league, more established, there was an age difference, I have older kids, he has one young child. I lurked on his IG and he is on vacation with someone else 😂🥺 I’m HEARTBROKEN. How tf do I recover?!?

I've noticed that a lot of angel group meetings happen during the work day. My understanding is that most angels have other day jobs. Do people just take time off work to go to these meetings? Are most angels entrepreneurs themselves?

I don’t know what it is, but I cannot build energy to do any more work. Originally I was burnt out, took some PTO and traveled for a week. Came back, no change in my feelings.

Need advice. My sister is in a DV relationship. I haven’t seen her in over a decade. A friend reached out and let me know she was in trouble. I traveled from another city to check in on her and she was not at her house. I found out that she and her soon to be ex are in a secluded lake house and I don’t know the location of said vacation home. I feel like I need to do a wellness check on her but I’m not sure how to proceed. Any advice fellow Fishies?

I have been in sales even before college. I'm reaching a burn out. I feel like the expectations get higher the more work I put in and that ends with me putting on many hats to get done. I can't catch a break, let alone allowed a decent vacation without having to negotiate based on performance. I honestly don't want to be in sales forever. I'm versatile when it comes to any tasks due to the nature of wearing many hats. Any suggestions?

A sign I need to fire some clients: when my out of office email reply hits the next reaction is to immediately call my cellphone. Nope. Call the number I left in the email to gain assistance. I cannot help you from jury duty, the doctor’s office, vacation, or anywhere else I might be when the auto replay directs you elsewhere.

What is it about clients that obligates them to go on vacation as we’re preparing to close on a deal (or they decide to leave the country the morning of closing)? Is it something in the water?

I have chronic health issues and I’m severely depressed. I can’t even get myself to work anymore. If I don’t quit, I’m in serious danger of being fired. I feel that I need to just quit and take time off to get better but feel that it will be a stain on my career. I’m a pretty junior lawyer. Any advice. I just can’t do any work at all and I’m my anxiety and depression is spiraling out of control. I see a therapist I try to cope and it’s not working.

Have seen comp for NACR (restructuring) listed at around 150-200 for analysts, 200-275 for associates, and one mention of senior associates at 375k. Supposedly NACR gets crushed in terms of hours. But i've also read that targets are around 2000 hours per year? Something doesn't add up.....e.g. Associate $550/hr * 25% cap rate * 2000 billable hrs = $275k.......but 2000 hours is slightly over 40 hours a week (including 4 weeks vacay), not the 80 hr/week. So is there a ton of time on vacation?

My school has seen combinations of f2f, hybrid, and remote teaching/learning throughout the first half of the school year. After the MLK holiday, our district is returning to traditional f2f teaching 100%. I have 4 band classes (1 beginning, 2 intermediate, & 1 advanced), and as far as content pacing is concerned, we’re 1 9-week grading period behind. Is it a far fetched goal to get my students where they need to be by the end of the school year? How would you handle a situation like this?
