I think they’re laying the foundation to sue you later if you’re a journalist who’s using their services only to later write a piece destroying their reputation showing their inner workings. Or diss them to your future employer. It’s happened before in many, many industries...
They don't work for you. They work for firms. The firms pay the bill. Long after you find a new job, they're still working with the firms. They don't want you screwing up their relationships.
Requires me to sign a “declaration for recruitment services” which in part says that “I agree not to engage in any conduct which is detrimental to the interests of Michael Page, would negatively affect Michael pages relationship with its clients or is likely to bring Michael Page into disrepute.”
That’s broad language. Is signing a form like this from recruiters common? Should I tell the recruiter I’m not signing this?
I get why the send it. Is it common? Should I not sign it?
I've never had to sign something like that (worked with two recruiters) but I don't see the harm.
Never signed anything before when I’ve worked with recruiters, and I’ve used two separate recruiters for two different jobs
Never been asked to sign anything like that. Worked with three national recruiters.
