Try Reddit, Twitter, FB groups to find people who are passionate about whatever it is that you’re researching. Just remember that they are (almost by definition) not representative of the broader audience who buys the category.

Go there for an essential truth about the brand/category, then figure out how to make it relevant to the rest of us.
You could start w an all agency email asking for contacts. You could find relevant social groups etc and post asking for people. Helps to be able to offer incentives like cash or gift cards so get a bit of a budget. Nobody should have a problem w $500-1000 to help do this. If you have a bit more budget, you could use a recruiter to find/incentivize people.
