Anybody have any experience in leveraging a competing Big 4 offer to get a raise / promo at your current Big 4? Risky?

Transition to the big 4 or very small boutique firm? Looking to move due to being pigeonholed in BA work, low pay compared to the industry, and just generally needing a change. I passed all interviews for a boutique, 30 person company. They are preparing a formal offer and final call for this Tuesday. At my lowest ask, it’s a 15% pay increase. And I will be able to stay more of a generalist, doing more senior work. I have a Deloitte interview tomorrow for a SC position. Continued

I was just promoted to Senior but have already been in a Senior role on my project and my responsibilities are not changing - how would i show this promotion on my resume?

Promoted to SC 6 months ago but only received 3% raise as part of the annual raise? That isn't normal in this kinda of market right?

Considering an offer in London for a Tax Director job at a Big 4. 15 yrs experience. I am not used to the London salary market but my understanding is that the numbers are lower than the US. What would an average salary be at that level of experience?

I’m graduating in 2 weeks with a Poli Sci degree and I have had two separate interviews, the first being a very demanding law job that would have paid me almost 50% less than the pay rate of someone with experience—and the other a dead end because the interviewer felt my Poli Sci degree didn’t qualify me for a government job.
