I’ve heard they do personality tests, are very public about your performance and share these ratings with other employees. They also use scorecards to evaluate yourself and others.

Great firm. Crazy crazy culture that truly isn’t for everyone. Very very high dropout rates in first 12-24 months due to crazy culture. Most of those folks who leave will say “don’t do it, ever, the risk is way too high”. I’ve seen dozens of people cycle through, some did well, others did not land well.

And a lot of young inexperienced culture carriers who are now, after a few years with BW as their first job, having been grown in that culture, literally unemployable anywhere else, and who may make your life hell. (Or not).

^ I’ve heard a lot along the lines of McK1 said. If that’s your cup of tea, go for it - but be thoughtful about your decision if not. Perspectives are polarizing so don’t assume that you’ll adjust - you either are or you aren’t, from what I’ve heard.

Read Ray Dalio’s book Principles. You should get a sense from that book.

Hey y’all! I have a bachelors in business administration with a concentration in management and finance, and I am now back in school to get my MBA. I been working for about 2 years but haven’t been able to get myself a good salary job. I live in Washington DC area and rent, bills and life is so expensive that I don’t seem to be able to keep up. Thinking about shifting or incorporating IT, maybe project management. Any advice??

EY SC Tech Transformation. Told during HR screen that I'm looking for 135-145 but have space to negotiate. Given verbal offer and currently already getting background checked. HR calls me and says they can only do 110 with no sign on bonus? She even asked me if it's too low to continue. Is this even normal? NYC and 4 YOE. 2 in industry.

It doesn't make sense to me why people who claim to believe in science and climate change do not also believe that our species is doomed. There does not exist carbon capture technology (yes, even planting trees) that can be produced and implemented at the scale and time necessary to significantly impact the predicted future temperatures. My guess is that these people (and news) are only looking in the short term of 2050 or 2100, but fail to truly look at the proper time scope of the problem
