Quick newbie Q - About to fund my Solo 401K and roll my old 401K into it (about 150k total)...does it make sense to wait a few days for a potential Omicron dip or does timing matter here? TIA!

Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? My coworker is sure this is the case, but I honestly think there's actually something deeper wrong either with how these people are being raised as children, or how the warning signs these people give off are ignored or swept under the rug to save face.

My child born F says he feels like a boy. I asked what makes him feel like a boy and he couldn’t answer. I’m very open I think and try to support him as much as possible to the point his name has been change in school and I try to use the male name as much as I’m capable of. But I can’t help to think he is not a he…. I wonder if he feels confuse because how strong, independent he is and he thinks females might be weak? Anyone going thru anything similar?

Anyone ever required to show proof of insurance to test drive a tesla? I don't currently own a car so don't have any car insurance. Any tips for affordable and reliable options if I'm just driving the car for an hour or so?

Question for moms past the young toddler phase - at what age did you find your child could safely & independently play/entertain themselves for 30-60 minutes? My just-turned 2 y.o. can play fairly well independently for 5-10 minutes and of course needs to be very closely supervised for safety (he loves to climb).

Just trying to put in perspective when we may get to the next step of having a chance to do something while we know he is safe/playing on his own. Thanks!

Everyday I think about quitting & how much I hate my job. When do I say enough is enough and quit? I have a family to support & a ton of student loans so it not like I can be unemployed. Just recently switched careers so it's unlikely I'd be able to find something better soon. I feel so trapped. Sometimes I have thoughts that if I'm seriously hurt I can take time off suddenly & have a real break but I know that's not good. (More in comments.)

Looking for baby moon recommendations for early March. Obviously Covid is an issue, but hoping it’ll be better by then (at least this omicron wave may be over) somewhere warm, and not too far of a flight from DC area, tho if it’s affordable we are willing to fly. Trying to stay in the states since pregnant. Any reccs? I’ll be about 20 weeks pregnant. I know it’s early but it’s the only time we’ll be able to take before the baby comes.

Dad's a little guidance please. We bought a Chicco car seat with base and a stroller that accepts the car seat. . I've been reading that other brands (e.g Britax, MaxiC) do not have a base and remain in the car. So how to Britax car seat parents move/carry their infants around? Remove from the car seat and hand carry or prop into stroller?
Currently, I put the baby into the car seat and he stays in it and is carried around in it. Trying to understand the process if I were to buy a Britax.

When was the last time you did something just for yourself? And what was it? We few friends from school met online after a long time. All of us looked well, tired and we all realized we have been so busy looking out for our family and kids and we forgot to prioritize ourselves. This was a group of friends across the globe, so seems like a global problem… It can be simple as working out alone or fancy as going for staycation at airbnb solo (I am not eligible for this since kid refuses to wean!)

Planning of travelling internationally in Feb. My baby will be 3.5 months by then. Worried about breastfeeding on a 14 hour flight. I have inverted nipples and my little one has a hard time latching on the left nipple. I follow the triple feeding schedule and if I miss a pumping session or a feed my breasta are engorged and the left one creates a mess. I am assuming pumping on the plane will not be an option? Might consider the Halka or the ladybug and feeding LO. Any suggestions?

Anyone leased a car with the Car Allowance rather than cashing it out as I do? How does it work out taxwise as a benefit? The cash bonus currently gets taxed at the full applicable rate (40% for me).

Welcome everyone! I’m so happy this is being utilized. A little background on me, I got my Bachelor’s when I was 20 and immediately went into both Child & Adult Protection careers. I then worked as a crisis counselor and a behavioral health specialist, and now I’m 26 at Monroe Plan for Medical Care working on expanding our Health Home Program into a new county where I’m our only employee!! My goals are to grow financially so that I can give back to our underserved populations even more.

Hi ladies! Need some advice - whenever my boyfriend does something to hurt me (lying, breaking promises, being mean etc) it takes a lot out of me and I don’t feel comfortable around him. He will ask for sex later on (within 12 hours or so) before I have really gotten my trust back and I’ll decline, citing that I’m hurt from earlier still and don’t feel comfortable enough with him to have sex. He then claims that I’m withholding sex and using it against him, but it’s the truth. Am I being toxic?
