Anybody here ever been injured in turbulence? I want to believe it only happens to those who don't buckle up throughout the flight, but is that naive?

Why not just buckle up? Even loosely is better than nothing.

It does indeed

My uncle was slightly hurt by a flying food tray a few years back in severe turbulence (think things and people bouncing off the curling) over the North Pacific. He was buckled up and the flight attendants were trying to clean up meal service early and fast per cockpit instructions. Injuries can happen but it's much more likely to be due to things going on around you. I also had a close call with someone who tripped in the aisle during moderate turbulence when they shouldn't have been out of their seat.

A guy flew out of his seat and hit his head on the part above the seat with the lights/air vents. Happened on a flight my dad was on.

P2 did the guy have his seatbelt on?

^ Nope

...so then it proves my assumption?

Would it be a smart idea to put 80k on a investment property in today’s market
Or should I wait for the conditions to get better? Today, house prices are relatively high and properties are selling ~20k over listing price. I am not sure if waiting will help though.

Property in Maryland Gaithersburg, DC commute.
Return would ~11% on 80k accounting for taxes, insurances, 5% vacancy and 10% emergency fund.

Has anyone ever made the jump from consulting to being a full time creative?

Recently I've realized that consulting isn't what I wanna do, but more broadly idk if a 9-5 business job is for me either. I've always wanted to make films and write books but I rarely see anyone in our industry make this kind of jump. Also finances 🥴

Asking for a friend: Coming out of top-10 MBA, and debating between 2 offers post MBA - Deloitte S&A or ZS. Comp: same base, but ZS offers COLA bump and 2nd year tuition reimbursement. Big comp difference in the short term, but I'm not sure if I want to commit to the life sciences route.
Will working in ZS commit me and limit exit opportunities long term? will broader scope S&A offer better exits?
Would love to hear thoughts
