I went through this phase of “cleansing” with smoothies and stuff. And I have to admit, it was a waste of money and I was totally misinformed. Gut is the most evolved part of our body. Modern science is not advanced enough yet to be able to improve it.
If you want to do something nice for your gut - go vegan & sugar-free for a week or two. The microbiome will change and your whole body will feel better.
I get them regularly. Wouldn’t say it was life changing but it helps when I eat terrible and I’m bloated or constipated.
Loss of money, altering gut flora and mild dehydration.

Best to do them if you’re planning to do some kind of overall cleanse. At the end of a juice fast for example.
@CD4 vegan for seven years ✌🏼though cheese has crept back in for a year and that’s made a difference (and not in a good way). While prepping for the colonic I’ve been no-dairy again and feel better.
@CD4 Wow. Thanks for the colonic research. Oye! As for favorite vegan breakfasts I love quinoa (warm), with maple syrup, walnuts and fresh organic strawberries. Or Moxie bread toasted with almond butter, or toasted with Myoko’s butter and Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel seasoning.
