Walk after the strength training!
Rising Star
I strength train in the morning (before work) and walk for an hour in the evening (after work).
How's your sleep, nutrition, and hydration?

OP, excessive is a relative term for each person.
As to timing and sleep, it's not that you can't workout before work, it's that you choose not to.
Personally, I'm in bed by 9pm and up at 4am to workout. Each day I get about 7 hours of sleep, 3K calories, 100g+ of protein, and more water than I care to track.

Do a short warm up, strength train, the use the walk for cool down.
Absolutely do the strength training first. I literally looked this up a few days ago and what everyone said is correct: you want to strength train first because the cardio will usually leave you zapped.
