Quick qstn - I'm receiving HRA of 24075 from my employer but I would like dhow the rent paid as 96k p.a (while filing ITR). Even if I do so, I was only able to get exemption of 24075 from gross. Checking if we can speak to payroll department to increase Actual HRA since I'm actually paying more rent than compared. Will I be able to do so ?Deloitte Newco EY Accenture Genpact KPMG

I have cleared the first round of the interview with Seimens and my second round is next week. This first one was an online technical round and the second one is a face to face interview on site for which they have asked me to fly down to Bangalore (cost reimbursed). The HR said that there are only two rounds.
I felt that my first round didn't go so well but they still called me for a second. What should I expect from this?Siemens

I used to live in and rent an old Victorian duplex and I recently moved into and doing the same thing with an old Victorian triplex.
The oldness of the buildings can bring pitfalls but also charm, and yes the tenant laws are working against you. But, the land is gold and if you get a good Bay Area location historically you have been unable to lose.
I’m actually just now early in the process of selling the duplex and will consider a 1031 exchange upleg;
But I didn’t use any tricks to buy the new triplex. You are actually not allowed to do a 1031 if you are using an “owner occupied” conventional loan to purchase. Has to be like-for-like investment property.
