How often do you all train abs?
Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have it (GS). Stats leading up to it don't matter, it's all about that one year. You want ~$50-60k spend on united metal (as in on united planes, partner airlines don't count), and that's pre-tax. Also sprinkle some business class in there. That's about the only requirement.
GS is on revenue not miles - I've had it at 129k miles and $65k, and at 200k miles and $110k... but the threshold changes every year
129k miles in the air.... mixture of medium haul and short hoppers....
@McK the 129 would be flown, would have earned a lot more award miles. Myself this year have over 300k "qualifying miles", but earned over 1 million "redeemable miles". Does that help?
This year - 270k flown, 151.5 segments.... so I'm kind of expecting GS again...... but stranger things have happened!
Have Delta 360, the year I received it 257K MQM's and $94K spend, 10 business class flights
@A1 are those 129k miles translated into redeemable miles? If so 65k of spending seems like a ton to get 5 RT flights in the us...
Ah got it. What does that roughly translate to in redeemable miles?
Oh wow. Got it. Makes sense. Thanks!
McK1 Those 129k are irrelevant, it would be calculated based on the $65k. So 715k redeemable (11x)
Do you keep GS just for a year like all the other levels?
Yep. You normally get the email during a December for activation in February
I got mine mid-year because of crazy spend on the first few months. But that's rare. You get it for a year, and if you don't make it the following year you get 1K no matter what (even if you don't fly). Nice step down
But... spend? Haha 😉
BCG1 - my first year of mileage plus, they made me start from scratch (moved from aeroplan so *A), those first three months were awful ;).... made GS in December
Mostly J class ....
Has anybody gotten GS w/o international J or F? Curious if it's even possible
Register with Europe as home address, but in reality be US based. Lower thresholds over there.
